London, UK | March 22, 2026 — The Global Centre for Indic Studies, an initiative of Global Synergy Alliance and Aarogyam UK CIC, was represented at the Oxford Symposium on Education, contributing perspectives rooted in Advaita Vedanta and Vedic astrology within a broader global dialogue on education.

The symposium brought together educators, researchers, and thought leaders to explore evolving paradigms in education, with a focus on integrating diverse knowledge systems into contemporary learning frameworks. Within this context, the Global Centre for Indic Studies contributed to discussions by presenting Advaita and Vedic astrology as interpretive and philosophical frameworks that offer unique perspectives on self-understanding, learning processes, and human development.

From a reflective standpoint, the engagement highlighted an important shift in educational discourse—moving towards more holistic and integrative models that extend beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries. Advaita Vedanta, in particular, offers a foundational perspective on the nature of knowledge and the self, encouraging inquiry into awareness, perception, and the process of learning itself. Vedic astrology, when approached with methodological clarity, can be understood as a symbolic and archetypal system that has historically informed perspectives on individual tendencies, timing, and life patterns.

The participation of the Global Centre for Indic Studies reflects a broader commitment to positioning Indic knowledge systems within contemporary educational conversations in a way that is both thoughtful and critically engaged. Rather than presenting these traditions in isolation, the focus remains on exploring how they may contribute to interdisciplinary dialogue, particularly in areas such as consciousness studies, psychology, and personalised learning approaches.

At the same time, the symposium underscored the importance of maintaining conceptual rigour and clear boundaries between philosophical interpretation, symbolic frameworks, and empirical inquiry. As interest in integrative education continues to grow, there is a need for careful articulation to ensure that traditional knowledge systems are represented with depth, context, and intellectual integrity.

As an emerging platform, the Global Centre for Indic Studies aims to build on such engagements by developing structured pathways for research, education, and dialogue. Its vision is to create spaces where traditional wisdom and modern academic inquiry can intersect meaningfully, supporting both deeper understanding and wider accessibility.

This representation marks a step forward in contributing to global conversations on education—bringing Indic perspectives into dialogue with contemporary thought, while remaining grounded in authenticity, scholarship, and reflective inquiry.
